GIVING BACK

Heritage Pet Hospital strives to give back to the community through various outreach activites. Below are some of the ways we support our community.

MVMA Dog Bite Prevention Program
Dr. Einertson is currently presenting this program to schools, small groups and organizations. The program he uses to teach kids is the Minnesota Dog Bite Prevention Program which is produced by the Minnesota Veterinary Medical Association(MVMA). The program is a fun power point presentation which uses lots of pictures to illustrate what is safe and unsafe around dogs. The program takes about 20-30 minutes to present and is free to the school. Contact us if you are interested in having Dr. Einertson come into your school or group setting to present this very important message.

HPH Mentor Program
Heritage Pet Hospital regularly takes on Students from the area and enables them to come into the clinic to observe and learn about being a veterinarian. If you have a child that is interested in becoming a veterinary student or has school requirements to fulfill, please call our office at 507-288-2050 to discuss availability. We love to encourage future veterinarians!

School Groups and Scout Troops
We have organized tours of our hospital and have also done classroom and school presentations on what it means to be a veterinarian with various school groups, scout troops and other organizations. If you would like to schedule a clinic tour or school presentation please call our office at 507-288-2050 to check for availability.

Paws and Claws Humane Society
Paws and Claws strives to provide humane protection and shelter for abandoned or lost companion animals and seek adoptive homes for those animals under their care. Each year, Heritage Pet Hospital spays and neuters 2 animals per month free of charge for Paws and Claws and provides free wellness exams for newly adopted animals from Paws and Claws
