Deb Bahr

Deb has over 24years experience in veterinary medicine. She is a 1991 graduate of the University of Minnesota, Waseca with an Associate in Applied Science degree in Veterinary Technology. Deb was with Heritage Pet Hospital from 1992-1997 as a CVT then left to explore other avenues in the veterinary field. She spent six years in Florida in emergency medicine and has been back at Heritage since 2003 as the Practice Manager. Deb earned the distinction of Certified Veterinary Practice Manager (CVPM) in 2006 by successfully passing the certification exam offered by the Veterinary Hospital Managers Association (VHMA). Deb also graduated from the Karen Pryor Academy for Animal Training and Behavior in 2015 earning her Karen Pryor Academy Certified Training Partner (KPA CTP) status and she is also Fear Free Certified. Deb often works in tandem with the doctors at Heritage consulting with clients on behavior cases. Deb shares her home with her husband and their three human boys; two dogs, Cecil and Wilma; three cats, Muddy, Gidget and Gertie and a tortoise named Carol.

Kathy graduated from the University of Minnesota, Waseca in1988 with an A.A.S degree in Veterinary Technology. She has been with Heritage Pet Hospital since September 1, 1988 and has grown to know many of our clients and their pets quite well over the years! Kathy has a passion for her career and believes pets are members of the family that deserve the best care. Kathy enjoys being part of a talented veterinary team and getting to utilize her nursing skills every day! Some of her special interests include managing the care for diabetic patients and mentoring/teaching veterinary technology students from RCTC. Kathy earned her Fear Free Certification in March 2019 and finds it very rewarding to help pets “love” coming to visit the vet! Kathy is also involved in the community by sitting on the Advisory Board for the Rochester Community and Technical College’s Veterinary Technology Program and the Advisory Committee for the Olmsted-Rochester Law Enforcement K9 Foundation. She and her husband David share a home with their “furbaby” cat “Milo” and in her spare time Kathy enjoys spending time with family and friends, reading, yoga, enjoying a good cup of coffee and summer vacations in Northern Minnesota.

Certified Veterinary Technician

Cheryl is a 1982 graduate of the University of Minnesota, Waseca and has an A.A.S degree in Veterinary Technology.  She has been with Heritage Pet Hospital since 1999.  Her Special interests Include avian health & behavior, geriatric felines and feline behavior, & pharmacy & inventory management.  At home, Cheryl enjoys training and playing with her Australian Shepard, Siamese cat & 2 African Grey Parrots.

Certified Veterinary Technician

Amy graduated from the Medical Institute of MN in 1995 with an Associate in Applied Science degree. She has worked in the Veterinary field for 24years, and has been with Heritage Pet Hospital since October of 2007. Her favorite thing about coming to work every day is being part of a close knit team, and the satisfaction of working with our clients and helping heal. Amy’s special interests include dentistry and radiology. In her spare time Amy enjoys pool league, camping, golfing, hikingand participating in the VFW Auxiliary. She shares her home with her husband, Dave, her dogs Morgan (a Lab/German Shorthair cross), Bailey (a Lab/Husky cross), Hudson (puggle) and a long haired orange tabby cat named Jack. They just moved into their newly built home September 2018 which resides on a beautiful 5 acre wooded lot!

Krista graduated from the Minnesota School of Business in October 2012 with an Associate of Applied Science degree in Veterinary Technology. Upon graduation, Krista joined the Heritage Pet Hospital team right away. What Krista enjoys most about coming to work every day is working with a close, hard working team, dentistry, animal behavior and being able to use all of her nursing skills daily. Krista is Fear Free Certified and helps consult with behavior cases in the clinic. In her spare time, Krista enjoys camping, watching movies and spending time with friends and family. Krista shares her life with husband, Jesse; step-daughter, Maveda; their dog, Brick; and their cats, Gizzmo and Leo.

Certified Veterinary Technician

Andrew graduated from Minnesota School of Business in 2017 with an A.A.S Degree in Veterinary Technology and passed his certification the following month. Andrew’s favorite part of working at Heritage is dealing with all the great patients, their owners, and the wonderful staff. Andrew also works at the Emergency clinic in town and wants to eventually specialize in Emergency and critical care to help aid in patients dealing with emergent issues. At home Andrew has two “children” whose names are Sophie and Puffin along with a school of fish. When not working you can usually find Andrew out on hikes, camping, or taking lots of photos.

Certified Veterinary Technician

Angela graduated with an Associate in Applied Science degree from Rochester Community Technical College in 2016. Since then she has worked as a Certified Veterinary Technician. Her special interests in the veterinary field include felines. Exotics (especially rats), surgical procedures and overall caring for her patients. In her spare time outside of work Angela enjoys traveling, yoga, hiking, gardening, reading, binge-watching movies and tv (and geeking out on them) and spending time with her friends, family and pets. Angela’s furry creatures include her 3 cats Bumblebee, ZakeryBinx& Sunny and her Norwegian Elkhound, Sparky.

Certified Veterinary Technician

CJ (short for Cassandra Jo) has been a Certified Veterinary Technician since May of 2012 & joined Heritage Pet Hospital in August of 2018. She is considered one of our “cat whisperers” & takes a special interest in scared & anxious cats. In addition, she also enjoys helping owners with diabetic felines & their care. When she is not hard at work, she likes to spend her days reading, painting, swimming, or any activity that allows her to be outdoors. She does not have any children of her own but takes pride in being a pet mom to her 2 cats, Moo & Patches, & her dog, Casey.

Certified Veterinary Technician

Valerie graduated from Rochester Community and Technical College in May of 2018 with her Associates in Applied Science degree. After graduation, Valerie began work as a certified veterinary technician at Heritage Pet Hospital. She enjoys working with animals that have special needs and behavior cases, performing dental cleanings, assisting in surgical procedures, performing diagnostics and working with the clients. In Valerie’s spare time she enjoys hiking, boarding of all kinds (longboarding, paddleboarding, snowboarding),  camping, philosophical conversations,  and adventuring/traveling with her three dogs. Valerie plans to continue rescuing animals and hopes to own her own animal sanctuary in the future.

Lauren is a 2013 graduate of the University of Minnesota, Morris, with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology. She is currently attending Rochester Community and Technical College to obtain her Associate of Applied Science degree in Veterinary Technology. What Lauren enjoys most about Heritage Pet Hospital is working with a close-knit team that acts as second family. In her spare time, Lauren enjoys exploring new places, such as state parks, baking, and relaxing at home with her brother, Jarrett, and their cat, Peaches.

Jeanne

Office Manager/Customer Service Representative

In addition to being a customer service representative and office manager Jeanne is a certified “fear free” professional and can help you and your pet have a less stressful visit to the vet. In fact, she uses these techniques to help her own pets have a stress- free office visit or just to get their nails trimmed. Jeanne is also interested in helping you navigate the emotional process of hospice and end of life care for your furry family members. Jeanne has worked in the veterinary field for more than 20 years and says her job remains interesting because she still experiences and learns something new each day. She loves Heritages team-oriented approach to veterinary care. When she is not working, Jeanne spends time with her husband Ed and their cats Abner and Chickadee. She really enjoys visiting her daughter Katie, son-in-law Paul and four grandchildren-Martin, Maria, Beatrice and Friedrich. She always has pictures, ask her! Jeanne loves cooking, reading, movies and spending time with her friends.

Molly has worked with the Heritage Pet Hospital team since 2013. She is proud to be a part of the Heritage Pet Hospital team. The highlights of her work are getting to meet, greet and help our patients and clients in every way possible and going home satisfied, knowing that she has made a difference in a pet’s life. She has learned so much while working in a veterinary clinic with the help of the wonderful team-oriented staff!

Molly lives in Rochester with her husband, Dale and their three children, Connor, Brayden and Alissa. She also has her pet rabbit, Rosie and her Guinea Pig, Nadine.

Customer Service Representative

Kelsey joined the Heritage Pet Hospital Team in the Spring of 2018. She has always had a love for animals and working at Heritage has just strengthened that passion. Since she doesn’t have any dogs or cats at home, she will love yours up when they come in for their appointments! She loves joking around with clients and learning about their pets. Kelsey wasn’t used to being around exotics until working at Heritage but has fallen in love with them. She now has two adorable guinea pigs at home named Mash Potato and Turtle Sundae. Kelsey’s free time consists of spoiling her guinea pigs, watching movies and spending time with family.
